I'd say ska would generally be rated meh without eliciting love or hate. I'd say personally there are some noteworthy ska tracks but it is really too same-y to excite me as a genre.

I think a lot of people think Ska is too fast and upbeat. Most people like slow music or walking pace music. Too much fast music irritates people and additionally I find that people that I've met don't seem to like brass that much. I think that if the stereotype of ska where a kid, it would be a loud and obnoxiously hyperactive kid. There are plenty of different types of ska, but I don't think people give it a chance once they get this preconceived notion of ska in their heads. Once they hear a **** band like Less than Jake they just give up on the whole genre. Well that's my thoughts at least. If people were introduced to The English Beat or The Specials or the Skatalites before that stereotype was introduced there might be more fans.

Ska is the worst music i 've ever heard. Especially Ska/Punk:banghead:

@OP: You know people on your school who even know ska exists? Holy ****. I know like 5 people on my school who know about ska, and none of them hates it.

What are some samples of Ska-Punk? Is that like Voodoo Glow Skulls? Those boys can rock it. I generally enjoy Ska- it's got a good beat and you can dance to it...:yikes:
