Its Desmond Dekker, and he was an incredible ska/reggae singer. One of my favorite ska artists of all time.

I'm not sure if anyone is aware but Desmond recently passed away. It's a huge loss for ska, very sad news indeed.

That IS very sad news. But, I'm still surprised I meet some third-wavers who know of (or at least are aware of) his music. The legend lives on, fo' sho'.

I saw a Desmond Dekker tribute concert which featured new reggae artists aswell as The Pioneers, Rhoda and Prince Buster. I shook Buster's hand. Best gig ever.

I'm a big Desmond Dekker fan.
