I'm not saying it's not art.

Nah it's more subtle than that. Basically is this art because it's being presented in a museum or is this art because it's being presented as art? It's almost like a catch 22 essentially. It's not art because it's in a museum but by being put in a museum as a piece of art by someone making a statement about art being put in a museum it becomes art. Or more purely it becomes art based on the artist articulating the context of what they are presenting.

You can totally think it sucks. But that doesn't mean there isn't an ephemeral meaning that you're not appreciating.
