i like both - each have their own strengths

RD was the first Jay-Z I bought - if it wasn't for that, i wouldn't bother to venture further, so er no, I don't hate on it, if that's what you mean

I somewhat agree with OH - in terms of Jay's discography, Vol. 3 is vastly underappreciated. It's certainly better than Vol. 2. It's about at the level of American Gangster.
