so, I just came across a new single by snoop today, 'Wet'. I think it's pretty amazing.

The music video is a bit NSFW IMO, and I'd rather the lyrics weren't so sexual but I can tell this is going to be one of those songs that I love even though I cringe when hearing the lyrics all the time... oh well

I have really liked Snoop Dogg since R&G, which I think was his best album, although I didn't like Ego Trippin so much. But I am super excited for his upcoming album, Doggumentary Music. (Which I'm assuming this single is from) apparently it is the sequal to his classic debut, Doggystyle, and I have high hopes.

I liked Ego Trippin' especially the track called Medicine

but this new single is hilarious....Idk why but I pictured him using auto tune much sooner than now. He's just trying to pull a Madonna and stay up with the times but he's a bit late to be jumping on the auto-tune bandwagon.

The lyrics to wet make the song, I love how sexual it is and the video fits it very well. I bet Nicki is going to jump on the Remix.

I like the little toy keyboard sound in that song but that's about it. Everything else, from the autotune to the beat, is pretty sad behind the curve trend-hopping. I really don't get the use of autotune my Snoop of all people. His voice is his greatest asset. It's what makes him who he is. With autotune he just winds up sounding like a million other people.
