It exists in every genre though. That's what bothers me. People act like these people don't exist in other genres when they do.

My point is that it's not quite realistic to pretend hip hop doesn't have an unfortunate element to it - which lazy people who don't know what they're talking about then use to paint a negative image of the whole genre.

It's like how folk metal bands struggle with accusations of white nationalism because some folk metal bands use such imagery and more or less openly peddle such beliefs.

It's not like these percetions of these music genres are based on nothing, but that also doesn't mean they are in any way fair to apply broadly.

All genres and all races make some shi*tty music in one form or another. Call them all out. Go make threads dedicated to them specifically, like OP did here. Don't just sit there shrugging and complaining.

Not true. He called them both half literate. With Cardi, I can understand that, but Nikki has done nothing to ever make anybody think she's half literate. The assumption comes off as bigoted. Maybe not towards race, but at the very least towards hip hop culture if not african american culture.

Hell, even with Cardi B. She sounds bilingual, like English isn't her first language. I grew up, and still live, in a place that's a 3rd Latin/Hispanic. That's how many of the kids I went to school with talked.

As for being trash rappers, now look, I know Minaj is known for her Anaconda bull****, but she came in the game as a spitter. Her whole verse on Monster destroys your white victim complex boy, Tom MacDonald's whole career.

I only know Nicki for a few of her most annoying hits. That Annaconda thing being one.

In my 14+ year tenure [I only mention that becuase it makes you happy in your no-no area], adidasss has been one of the most level-headed and [most definitely] non-racist members that I have come across.
