I just think that perhaps you're trying too hard which genuinely is the reason why you don't get it. You're feeding way too much into your own ego and needing to feel superior to hide from your own insecurities. Going back to the idea that you care more about a social status to retain a false sense of control over your life, rather than perusing the activities that you truly enjoy.

An example is when Batlord gets apologetic or self deprecating over his enjoyment of groups like the Kotton Mouth Kings. He keeps trying to justify an enjoyment of something to appease a cultural perspective to retain his status rather than unapologetically enjoying who he is through the acceptance of the insignificance of life.

Edit: Let me try to simplify this for you.

To you he looks retarded because it's absurd. You fail to realize how happy he is. His happiness comes from accepting the absurdity of life, and reflecting it.

Your reasoning was basically "it doesn't make any sense, therefore it's genius"

It's not that it's genius for not making sense. It's that it's genius because he isn't trying to make sense.

What if I told you that I think you're over-intellectualizing things instead of just listening. You're trying to find an intellectual justification for liking what you know deep down is of poor quality.

What if I told you that being a 30-40 year old man mocking a 17 year old kid for being simple and fun kind of makes you look fairly pathetic in comparison to the kid who truly accepted his pointlessness?

Truth is, you don't like the idea because it shows how irrational and desperate your hatred for this culture is. It shatters the ideas of superiority you need to feel in control of what you can't truly control.

I haven't even listened to his music. The only thing I'm serious about is that I don't see how you make that leap from observing his use of a nonsense word to him being some sort of genius. I legit don't see it. You could say the same about anyone.

And what's genius about "embracing the pointlessness of existence". I do that on a daily basis. Does that make me a genius? I'm an atheist you know. I don't think there's any grand scheme behind it all and I still manage to live without being a cynic.

Is having fun the same as being fun? Has he really "accepted" his pointlessness or is it all that he knows? Does adding the association proposed in the essay make his music more enjoyable to listen to?

Anyway Lil B is the OG on this.

Then why would you comment on how poor the quality is if you have not heard it? You're literally blithering at this point.

The fact of the matter is you still feel that you need to retain a sense of status as if there is hidden meaning to your existence. Atheism doesn't mean you accept the absurdity. It means you accept the lack of a creator. You still try to find or create a meaning in a life that isn't there instead of having the meaningless being the meaning. On top of that, even if there was a God or an almighty creator, that doesn't change the absurdity of existence. Being created doesn't give you a point. Creator or not, we're all just childish crayon art scribbles on the wall by 2 year olds. You have yet to truly understand or embrace that fact.

I thought this was MB. The forum where people ****post all the time.
Although I'm pretty sure I heard Gucci Gang once a long time ago and thought it was awful.

I don't need there to be a meaning. I told you that. So I've accepted that there isn't one. I just live and do things that I like to do.

What "meaning" do you think I'm searching for? In what sense?

Having fun and being fun is more of a perspective. In the pointlessness of life, perspective is almost pointless. I'm sure HE believes he IS fun and he is having fun. Both important. Though, as pointless suffering also exists. Nothing is always fun. Accepting that makes it easier.

I don't think his absurdity is all he knows. These artists are constantly bombarded by angry people who think he needs to be more 'meaningful' so I'm sure the reverse concept is well known by him. How could it not be? So he's truly accepted it.

Maybe for some? But if you don't enjoy it you just don't enjoy it and trying to goes against accepting your insignificance.

**** a Johnny Rotten, I want Lil B. Yes. You are right.
