Yea, what kind of innovation were you expecting tho? Within their signature style it sounds familiar but also fresh to me.

It's not that I expected innovation, I just don't see it. What's innovative about this album? It sticks pretty firmly to the signature styles that they've established for a long time now. I don't think that it's a bad thing btw.

It's subtle innovations withing their musical style. Im talking mainly the beats and the vocal deliveries not their visual presentation. It's archiving a particular formula while trying to innovate on it so it doesn't get stale. You said yourself you had expectations for this album and it surpassed them, what was it about it that surpassed your expectation? Cause to me is like i said, familiarity with innovation.
