Not sure what you mean by boombap.. what was the last album you listened to? I feel like hes grown significantly None Shall Pass+. Impossible Kid has grown to be one of my favorite hiphop albums, guess I'm bias. I can agree with your for the most part about the delivery, but I think most artists don't diverge from their comfort flow very often.

Very back packer hip hop influenced beats. His delivery is very generic like it's what you hear from every other rapper in that lane. I really like Impossible Kid too, though.

Edit: Yeah, I do agree that None Shall Pass is when he suddenly hit a quality shift.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Art Is Dead. Buy My ****.

He blows away all of the others.
There are several hipster pretenders but none of them can touch KRS.
The streets still acknowledge and feel him in ways that some of the cats mentioned on this thread have never known.
Check out "The World Is Mind."

My 30+ years maintaining GOAT flow award goes to
Kool G Rap.
Return of the Don is an amazing album.
Still nobody tells a better story than Kool G.
^ This man has knowledge [the ears to hear]. We can all learn from him!

I can't believe that after 11 pages, none of you have mentioned the lyrical genius that is CHINO XL. You should ALL be ashamed of yourselves!

RICANstruction alone blows away half of your guys' responses! #NoJoke
