ICP vs. Twiztid

Do you prefer the masters (ICP) or the wannabes (Twiztid)?

Lucem Ferre 06-28-2017 01:24 AM

Do you like the wicked **** (Twiztid) or the wackest **** (ICP)?

The Batlord 06-28-2017 01:25 AM

Do you like wannabe gangsta rappers (Twiztid) or a group with vision (ICP)?

Isn't that kind of ironic? Since ICP started out as Inner City Posse, a wannabe gangster rap group, while Twiztid started out as House of Krazees, a wannabe Esham rap group?

Or since ICP are the ones that did Psychopathic Rydas, the ultimate wannabe gangster rap.

Or their collab album with 36Mafia where they were wannabe thugs?

Their vision was stolen from Esham. From the clown gimmick to the horror music. To rapping over rock beats. To even full on song concepts.

And ICP grew beyond that, whereas Twiztid are pretty much the same thing as they've always been, just with less killing and more weeping.

Wut? I guess I was just imagining that Twiztid were also in Psychopathic Rydas. And I'm pretty sure that was just a bit of fun for all involved, not anything serious.

Never heard that.

I don't remember Esham doing the clown gimmick, but I wouldn't be surprised if Violent J lifted it. He lifted enough from plenty of people. And then he made it his own. I can hear Esham all the **** over Ringmaster and Riddle Box, but those albums still sound totally unique and ICP. The specific atmosphere, the nonsense lyrics, and the off-the-wall concept all made for something that can't be replicated.

Lucem Ferre 06-28-2017 02:31 AM

I don't ever see Twiztid as wannabe gangsters. Just products of their environment. J grew up poor but outside of Detroit while Twiztid grew up with in Detroit. They went to highschool with Eminem and Proof. They remember people being shot and killed over rap battles. Mono has been in caught in a drive by before. J got bullied by mean kids with BB guns.

Esham stole this Homey The Clown gimmick from an In Loving Color skit and started painting his face and rapping in clown paint on stage. ICP saw that and started painting their hype man's face before J had his magical dark carnival dream from god or what ever cult leader bull**** he pushes.

Killjoy Club. It was a super group with ICP, 36 Mafia and Young Wicked.

Luckily I never gave a **** about ICP or Twiztid as gangster rappers, but Twiztid never really evolved enough beyond that schtick to become interesting in their own right.

lulz. In Living Color is responsible for ICP. That's pretty nice. But ICP still ran with the concept far beyond what anybody else ever did. Unless you want to rag on anyone who borrows ideas, like Shakespeare. Violent J is ****ing Shakespeare, ***got.

I'll have to check it out. Hopefully it's less ****ty than Soopa Villainz.

Lucem Ferre 06-28-2017 02:59 AM

But I do think Twiztid evolved. You act like Twiztid are ABK or something.

Yeah, I'll give it to yah, that ICP have carved their own identity even though it was on the back of Esham.

It's nothing too great. The only good member of 36 left was DJ Paul. But nothing is as bad as Soopa Villainz. That **** is ****ing terrible. And to think, some morons have that **** tattooed on them. You ever hear the song about killing gay people?

The Batlord 06-28-2017 03:30 AM

1. Woah, woah, woah. I don't like a lot of Twiztid, but I love more than a little at least. I would never compare them to god damn ****ing ABK, Boondox, or even Blaze. They're the only other Psychopathic artist that was ever worth a damn as far as I know and I will give them that due. Okay I guess Blaze is fun enough sometimes.

2. I don't think I ever got past the first song off that Soopa Villainz album. Dear god is it terrible. And I don't know how ICP can be so against gay people. They talk so much **** about being religious but not bound by organized religion, and yet they can't even see beyond the most ignorant parts of conservative Christianity? Yeah, I definitely don't love them cause they're my intellectual equals.

Oriphiel 06-28-2017 03:41 AM

You may as well have named this thread "Batlord v.s. Lucem Ferre".

The Batlord 06-28-2017 04:02 AM

What does "v.s." stand for?

Oriphiel 06-28-2017 04:14 AM

It stands for "versus the shity".

The Batlord 06-28-2017 04:32 AM

At least I'm not the ****ty one.

Goofle 06-28-2017 04:34 AM

Twiztid make better music.

Janszoon 06-28-2017 05:09 AM

Twiztid are actually fairly listenable. ICP are so boring that it's hard for me to sit through a whole song let alone a whole album.

OccultHawk 06-28-2017 07:25 AM

Really y'all

3-3 ?

ICP very easily hands down.

Lucem Ferre 06-29-2017 12:02 AM

This is fairly interesting.

I've lost track of what level of irony we're operating on here.

That generally helps me.

Wut up, "norm". Never seen you round these parts.

And to answer your PM, I haven't used Skype in at least half a year. I don't talk to people I know irl for the most part either on that or the phone, so it's nothing personal. I'm just not much for socialization in general. Also I just haven't been in the mood for extended political discussions I'm not even that educated on in the first place.

Cause you got banned before I could respond and I was satisfied with this venue.

The Batlord 07-03-2017 05:19 PM

My temporary volleyball team for a day in highschool called themselves Prodigy after him.

Interesting. Fascinating.

Anyways, I am a hardcore Canadian Juggalo. Vive le ICP. I admit that ICP were the originators but I prefer Twiztid's style over ICP's style. Twiztid is a lot more dark and mysterious than ICP. ICP's songs become predictable as time moves on... ICP is an amazing group, don't get me wrong, but Twiztid are the Stanley Cup Champions of hip hop.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 07-03-2017 05:23 PM

after seeing batlord's eric cartman grade hands in that last pic he posted, i can be sure he has never played a sport in his entire life.

The Batlord 07-03-2017 05:31 PM

Dudes, JL8 is a brilliant webcomic that's kid versions of the Justice League but like Recess, Calvin & Hobbes, and Peanuts and it's fantastic.

And that **** gets deep later on.

The Batlord 07-03-2017 09:19 PM

We had some actual activities at PE and JROTC made me actually jog once a week. Then I went to military school and could probably run a mile decently and do 100 pushups in 10 minutes easy on command. 50 pushups in a minute 30.

I was chubby as **** but I was in the best shape of my life.

I wish I went to military school tbh. More discipline would've been good for me.

Just one of those ****s that just happens in there. Military school was a weird mother ****ing place. And basically no one wanted to be there, and even the people who thought they want to be there. Unless of course you were a rich white **** and could buy yourself a nice rank for your junior and senior years.

My ability to push up and down wasn't what kept me out of the military, it was my desire to have nothing to do with it.

I like them both. But i relate to Twiztid and absolutely love their music. But ICP are still legends in their own respective right and some of their song are amazing as well.
