Every Kendrick Lamar album has been ground breaking in the area of concept albums with in hip hop. The stories he tells and the perspectives he shows. Musically it's not completely new but it is innovative. Especially with TPAB. To deny his talent and impact because his brilliance doesn't click with you is just ignorant. I don't like ATCQ's music but I will never deny that what they did was ground breaking. And I still appreciate them.

Just because he's been ground breaking to your ears doesn't mean he's actually being innovative. Plenty of Hip Hop albums that came before had concepts behind the record, a story that ran through. And also fused similar genres.
But this isn't to say you shouldn't like what you like. I just kinda get annoyed when he (or somebody else) is given credit for something they really haven't done. Also I listened to Section.80 yesterday and I have to say it's more like a 7. So much filler.

That piano riff is indescribable. Stuns the hell out of me. It's groovy in that dark and demented way that I like, and you couldn't pair it better with an equally dark, demented video.
Not sure about the rest of the song though. If that piano riff wasn't there I would not like it. |

well it's Sunday and there is no surprise album.
So much for that Nation prediction.
