I don't have time to listen to and **** on all of this till I get back from work, but Dalek is bull****. His whole gimmick about rapping over industrial doesn't even work because he has to turn the beat down whenever he wants to actually rap. So you get a perfectly normal rap verse delivered by a pedestrian rapper, then instrumental hip hop with industrial ****, and the two basically don't meet.

Dalek is by far one of the best examples of ****ty hipster rap that gets its dick sucked because of novelty rather than quality.

Maybe when you listen to that song you'll see the quality lyricism (though I do agree that it's not the most inventive) and banging beat. I listen to that and gimmick is the last thing that comes to mind. You know noisy hip hop is its own thing now right?

Dalek isn't good cause his beats don't work in a vocal hip hop context. Which I think would be obvious when he turned the beat down every time he rapped. If he wanted to make an instrumental album then that would be one thing, but what he's doing now is awkward and self indulgent.

I'm expecting for the basic building blocks of the music to not clash to the point that they can't exist in the same space at the same time. And I went into Dalek liking him. Then I got bored of him.

Like I said you're free to your own opinion, but you ought to invest in some hearing aids or something, because I think it blends quite well.

Yeah that works better than some of his other stuff cause he keeps the volume down all the way through pretty much, but unfortunately I also don't really care all that much about Dalek as a rapper either.

I agree he isn't the greatest rapper, but still quality enough to complement the great production. Still, dalek's average rapping+fantastic beats>Nas's average rapping and beats
