So I was thinking in the albums your digging thread about the hip hop releases this year that were quality.
Go ahead and list off your favorites of this year so far. I'm pretty sure I've missed out on a few gems. My list: De La Soul - and the Anonymous Nobody... Flatbush Zombies - 3001: A Laced Odyssey Aesop Rock - The Impossible Kid Schoolboy Q - Blank Face LP Kanye West - The Life of Pablo Skepta - Konnichiwa Chance The Rapper - Coloring Book Kendrick Lamar - untitled unmastered. Snoop Dogg - Coolaid

Ka - Honour Killed the Samurai
Death Grips - Bottomless Pit Isaiah Rashad - The Sun's Tirade Elzhi - Lead Poison Kendrick Lamar - Untitled, Unmastered. Rome Fortune - Jerome Raheem Fortune Chance the Rapper - Colouring Book Aesop Rock - The Impossible Kid YG - Still Brazy Open Mike Eagle & Paul White - Hella Personal Film Festival Joey Purp - iiiDrops That's in order, at least as of now. There's been a ton of great hip-hop releases this year, as far as I'm concerned, and I had hard time leaving off stuff like Chris Crack & Vic Spencer's joint, as well as Denzel Curry, and Kaytranada.

Oh snaps, I forgot about Lead Poison.
This is the reason I want to see other people's lists so I can listen and re-listen to stuff that I either missed out on the first time or play again. Also would Kaytranada actually count as hip hop? I'm pretty sure that's an electronica release. As much as I played that A$AP Ferg album, it wasn't really that great. He had like five maybe six tracks max that were awesome but everything else kind of sucked and felt like filler.

I hated the project. I'm not a Ferg fan to begin with, but I thought it was one of the corniest releases this year. I liked the track with Lil Uzi Vert, and that was about it.

I stopped trying to stay caught up with new releases a while ago but I did grab that new De La and like daaaaaaaamn dude, it's pretty killer! Also very pleased with the quality of Impossible Kid compared to Skeleton. Also that performance of Dorks on Colbert with Yo La Tengo was a real fangirl face melter.
