The hip hop effect
Listening to hip hop/rap music has changed my life. I sam this because after many years of listening to artist like 2pac, ice cube, crooked I and many others, I realized that my views and mentality towards certain society issues were changing. My question to all hip hop/rap fanatics is; in what ways has this music culture influence your views and mentalities?

I'm a conspiracy theorist now...
Welcome to MB where you make serious topics as a new member and get joke answers. When you hear a line from a song like Cormega - The Saga... "Sleep is interrupted by food on the stove, not gun shots we immune to those" It definitely makes you think about how tough **** really is. As a privileged white male from the burbs, I think my love of hiphop since a young age has definitely helped me to appreciate the struggles of less fortunate people as a whole, regardless of race, gender, etc. It's worth noting that this isn't just a hip hop thing. Powerful lyrics from any genre influence people, it's part of why music is so amazing.
