I thought Quasimoto might've been another MF Doom alias. He has so many I thought he might've put another one under his belt. I'll check it out though.

Quasimoto is sick. Yeah, it's Madlib with the vocals pitched up. Apparently Madlib's voice is hella deep. I think there's an ode to that in the Madvillain track 'Raid'...

"On one scary night, I saw the light
Heard a voice that sound like Barry White said 'sure you're right'."

Madlib = Barry White.

Black Thought is very underrated.

Talib Kweli is also a good choice. Slug is good as well.

JAY-Z is all right for a mainstream rapper, but the people who call him the greatest of all time are crazy. Even his absolute best songs can't compare to an average Pac song.

I don't think his voice is that deep. It's sort of in the ballpark of MF Doom's.

Madlib's new album (Beat Konducta, Vol. 5-6: A Tribute to J Dilla) is so much better than any of the Quasimoto records. FAAAR better. It's his best album to date IMO. Although I really like The Further Adventures.. by Quasi.
