Off the top of my head, in no particular order.
1. Future 2. Future 3. Future 4. Future 5. Future 6. Future 7. Future 8. Future 9. Future 10. Future 11. Future I know I did 11 instead of 10 but I couldn't narrow it down.

Not even Danny Brown can make his songs better.

If we are strictly talking "current," only rappers I've been listening to a lot recently and not my top of all time.. Then it would be..
Aesop Rock Young Thug Future Kanye West Travi$ Scott Kendrick Lamar Lil Yachty 21 Savage Drake MC Ride (That Bottomless Pit!) I predict Danny Brown is going to be in there when his album drops, because "When It Rain" is unreal, it's incredible. If the album lives up to that song, it could be album of the year. If it can live up to that song.. Aesop Rock of course made this because The Impossible Kid is my favorite album of the year so far, and Kanye's album is my second favorite. Been listening to those a lot. Young Thug and Future should be self-explanatory, I just really hope Young Thug fully realizes his potential within his career. Songs like "Pick Up the Phone" shows just how incredible Young Thug can be, of course much credit to Travi$ Scott and Quavo on that song. Travi$ Scott is on this list, mainly because of Rodeo but also singles he's released since then like "Whole Lotta Lovin", "Tourist" and of course "Pick Up the Phone" which I can't stop listening to. Kendrick Lamar didn't have a hard time getting in here, not that I keep listening to To Pimp a Butterfly. Don't get me wrong, I love To Pimp a Butterfly but it is definitely a mood album, and a long one at that. But the main reason Kendrick is here is because of untitled unmastered. which is short and sweet and super good. Lil Yachty, roughly the same catchy/banger reasons as Young Thug and Future, and Lil Yachty himself has also released two tapes this year, both I've been enjoying. 21 Savage is solely here because of the Savage Mode collaboration tape with Metro Boomin. I don't know, that Savage Mode is just the **** to me for some reason. I haven't heard anything else by 21 Savage, but he easily makes this list of people I've been listening to recently because I've listened to Savage Mode so much.. Drake, I just listen to a lot of his stuff a lot, but of course I heard Views a lot, even though Views was pretty disappointing. And I've listened to If You're Reading This Its Too Late many many many times. And I've been re listening to Thank Me Later, which is very underrated. And then the last guy I slid in here was MC Ride, because I'm loving Bottomless Pit by Death Grips and MC Ride is spitting/yelling mad fire as is usual from him. It's a killer album. That's my current/recent feelings |
