I actually liked a fair bit of Asher's work. I dig Mac Miller, El-P, Pouya, and Apathy too and they all sound pretty white. I think the music just has to have some sort of substance to it other than just being rap music that appeals to white people because it's made by other white people i.e Hoodie Allen or G-Eazy.

I used to be more about Def Jux and Rhymesayers, but now a lot of those groups are pretty lame to me, but I still get enjoyment out of **** like Cage El-P, Brother Ali, and Atmosphere (though less from the last two). And don't forget that Aesop Rock is a cracker from Def Jux, even if I'm not the biggest fan.
