I've heard Tupac's music and I don't think it would stand the test of time if he didn't die. The only thing he really has going for him is the emotion in his voice, and even that can't save his tepid music.

I gotta disagree, I felt as though his music was timeless and aged better than a lot of other rappers'. It all comes down to personal taste, but this would be like saying you don't like the Led Zepplin or Rolling Stones of rap, which is cool, but you'd be going against the majority opinion of the community

Because they kept going. If his career fleshed out like the rest of the rappers of his time, people would more easily put him in the "dated" category.
