Hip-Hop March Madness Tournament 2016
Okay this sub-forum isn't very active anymore so I hope this is a fun way to get people involved without doing another album survivor series. This is slightly different but with the same goal in mind - determining MB's favorite album for this genre.
Here's the vision: -People nominate 10-20 of their favorite/most essential hip-hop albums -The master list is narrowed down to 64, albums are seeded based on favorability and placed in a bracket format like so http://cdn.printabletournamentbracke...on_Bracket.png -One on one battles, where people vote on which album they like better and discuss why, occur every few days until a winner is crowned (the idea is for this to move quickly as long as people keep voting) Just an idea I had. More than willing to take suggestions to improve it, or move on if there is lack of interest. thanks! |
I approve. I'll start thinking on a list. 10-20 means that there's no set number in between those boundaries?
|
I am definitely in for this. will be back with my list.
|
Great idea, it's a nice change from all the survivor threads going on currently. I'll come up with a few to nominate shortly.
|
As above.

Is this ever going to kick off? |
What's the point? Madvillainy is just going to win anyway.
|
Most of the ones I like have been listed already, I would just add:
1. Cypress Hill - Cypress Hill (still their best by far imo) 2. L'Orange and Jeremiah Jae - The Night Took Us in Like Family (thanks to Exo, I heard about this album from his 2015 list) |
^Have you heard Time? Astonishing!? The lyricism isn't as good, but I think it's superior on all other fronts.
|
^I listened once and didn't like it as much, will definitely give it another shot
