Possibly. At least as good as Vol. 1 or American Gangster. But Black Album had a lot more inventiveness and creativity than Blueprint 2 - I mean, it's been a while since I've listened to them back to back, but that's how it always felt to me. In college, I used to listen to the Black Album before big exams or presentations to pump myself up. Always worked too.

I've always thought Vol. 3 was Jay's most underrated.

I'm kind of a stan tho, Jay's my favorite rapper. I don't think he really had a complete flop until Magna Carta Holy Grail.

I agree about vol 3 being slept on... The beginning of the album is really strong with one of the best intros followed by so ghetto and then 2 tracks later dope man is a really good start... Obviously it gets spottier at times as most jay albums do... But there's also good material later on including Watch Me which was sorta a precursor to The Watcher 2.

Though I do think the watcher 2 is a better song and I think bp2 could've been great. You tell me.. I made a playlist of 13 songs from bp2 that I think make a pretty solid jay album.

I'm curious what you think. I don't think there's really any weak tracks and it has a ton of dope guest appearances from Dre, Rakim, Big Boi, Scarface, MOP, etc

Spoiler for blueprint 2 playlist:

Been on a bit of an Outkast binge, crazily consistent.

Indeed. Though Stankonia is probably my favorite album of theirs, this is probably my favorite song.

If you're into Outkast, don't sleep on UGK - this track of theirs features Outkast.
