not a big rhymesayer guy but I like the tracks you posted. Rhymesayers is a little bland, lacks energy.
I was always more def jux dude. |
The Headsho7ts tape was sick!!!
whaddyu think of this?? The cat (Drub) anchoring the track has incredible presence and a slick rhyme scheme. |
Apathy.. not huge on slug or ap, but I like Ap better on that beat.

How are you not an Apathy fan tho...that kid's a beast!!! runnit all the way to about the 1:00 mark...everybody else is pretty forgettable on that track. |
He's clever with a nice flow and I used to be big into him, but my hiphop has gotten increasingly white in the past 5 years..
for example: Grieves - Unedible or Despot - Crap Artists Spoiler for live version:
fuck production: Kas Solo - Wolf Cried Boy |
despots verse on cancer for cure is awesome.
i like that hip hop for hw song hw. Speaking of jedi mind tricks you like mr.lif hw? |

Dwn, I like all your submissions...Kas Solo stole that show tho. That was verse was candid, man!! Grieves is pretty cool and I see the RhymeSayers influence in his style. He's almost like a li'l slug sans the polished flow but rhymescheme and content are almost identical. Apathy is white tho, unless I'm mistaken...that dude looks white as hayell to be honest. this is one of my favorite hip-hop tracks of all time just 'cause of the energy...it's so good. the instrumental is from this cat Mondee and I just think it's one of the most soulful and innovative sounds I've heard inna hip-hop track. The way the bass guitar blends with the accordion and what sounds like a harmonica eventually...pfffffft. Sensory overload!!! Y@k rides the beat hard too!!! Keeps up with similarly-high energy. Have you guys heard any natural elements??? I've really been into Boot Camp Clik lately (O.G.C. specifically) and Funkdoobiest lately. |
I'd love to be able to get into Jedi Mind Tricks more, as their core sound is pure metalhead goodness, but Vinnie Paz is just such a two-dimensional MC that they are merely serviceable much of the time. Heavy Metal Kings was a pretty solid side-project though, but only because Ill Bill delivers. And obviously because all the metal references please me.

hw you getting my private messages?

Vinnie Paz in the Psychosocialbiological whatever album was actually deeply intellectual but he left that style in favor of dunn rap. He used to go by Ikon the Verbal Hollogram back then. |
