as for your criticism... i appreciate the feedback. imo, i would say it's more that they were part of a general wave of hip hop at the time than that they failed to distinguish themselves... along with wu tang, mobb deep, nas, etc. boot camp clik (the mega-group that smif n wessun is part of) are considered sort of pioneers of this sound, and their influence was widely felt. most east coast fanatics recognize the beatminerz sound as distinct from other hardcore east coast hip hop at the time, similar to havoc's sound, rza's sound, premier's sound, etc. though of course they do also have many things in common.

Jaden Smith? are you serious..he does songs with justin beiber. I give him props for being the son of the fresh prince. He wouldn't have a career otherwise. He cant rap for ****. his lyrics and flow are non existent. and he has zero charisma. actually, if you read a bit closer, the point of the thread is for you to try to diss or give props to the artist in question.

the tracks that i provide are in case you aren't familiar with said artist. you aren't required to focus on that track. and you also aren't required to diss/give props to the artist. you are supposed to try your best to do so while being genuine. but you can also opt to fail, as well. see the post above mine for an example of how to do that.

but i didn't dismiss your position. i gave my take on it, cause it was just kind of hard for me not to. but it's not that serious, tbh. recall that when i made the threads where i tried to diss/give props to artists that people posted, i would also often get a response from them regarding my reply.

the point of the thread is for you to try your best to fulfill the request... the request might sometimes be to diss or give props in a situation where it isn't easy to do so. but hopefully, it will be a genuine response. that is the challenge of the thread.

Yes, you asked me to diss the artist based on the track. Clearly that's a huge difference for you. But however you choose to phrase it, it seems equally pointless.
