How about Childish Gambino's last project Kuai EP? It's more R&B/Soul than Rap.
Which itself is part of a fantasy-mixtape-leading-on-to-an-EP concept.

In fact, every project he has put out has a different sound / concept to it.

And I concur Tyler's Cherry Bomb album. It's rap but the soundscape for it is way different that most rap sounds. You can almost say it feels like a punk record.

Tyler's Cherry Bomb had a few songs on there that sounded like Deathgrips or something, but most of it was Jazz influenced if I remember right.

He also had this song on that album that sounded a lot like the poppish industrial acts like Assemblage 23 or VNV Nation.

Did he though? It wasn't drastically different from his first. Maybe a bit more jazzier but not completely new
