Blackhandpath

Heard about this group a few months ago, but only getting round to listening to their music now. Their 2015 album, Obfuscant, is some of the best noisy Hip Hop I've heard. Admittedly, I have yet to find an exponent of this genre that I dislike.

This is really good I just downloaded last night very abrasive noisy stuff, but not derivative of Death Grips which is nice. I feel like they're production is more spastic than DG and I like their vocalist a lot.

My ears are burning... I tried, not for me.

Yea I'm down with vowls here I hated it. I just can't enjoy myself while listening to this kind of music.

I thought the record was pretty good, really glitchy and all over the place. No sense is the best sense imo.

Probably give this a listen once I find my headphones.

There was one song where they used a rlly melodic synth sample in the "chorus" that I thought sounded really odd at first and didn't work but it might be my favorite part now. So yeah I agree.

Just listened to this. I was expecting something extremely abrasive based on a few of the comments here, but this goes down very easy while maintaining the edge and intensity. Great stuff!

DeadChannel 05-14-2015 12:11 PM

Yeah, this is really excellent. Something I can see becoming a favourite for a while.
Other than Death Grips, Clipping, these guys and Tokyo Death Watch (who are a little bit too similar to DG) are there any other noise hop projects that are worth a look? Recs would be great.

Sounds like rap meets industrial music. (AKA Dr Dre meets Ministry)

I like the music but I found the vocals to be a bit to abrasive, but I'm sure if I was 16 I would feel different about it, lol.
