Earl's new album is killer. I like the trend of short albums, as they tend to be quality over quantity. SRS is a great example of that.

Fantastic album. He's really become a chameleon with switching his styles up. It doesn't even sound like he's refining his sound, it's just giving us something new.

The vocal samples on this album were awesome. Reminded me a lot of Norman Krates.

Totally agree with this. If you listen to a lot of albums you'll prefer shorter and sweeter than bloated with filler.

I watched this great breakdown on Youtube that explored the emotional significance of some of the samples. One was of his dad and another was of his uncle.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Art Is Dead. Buy My ****.

Not his literal uncle, but a very close family friend who turned out to be Hugh Masekela who passed this year. Riot! samples his song of the same name.
