I don't see why he isn't. He has a good flow, cracks wise, manages to rhyme most of his lines well and generally hits on all the basics. Sure, he isn't super lyrical, abstract or complex, but those characteristics don't define what a good rapper is.

I don't understand why you like his flow, it's practically non-existent. His newest song on the radio makes me change the station every time it's on, and I put up with a lot of music I'd rather not hear simply because it's all I have. I don't know what "cracks wise" means.
You have such good taste, but sometimes you just make me sad.

I've listened to every song Kanye has released. Obviously not every single one of them is stellar, but there's enough good stuff in there for me to say his flow is, or at least can be, good.

Whoops. I thought we were talking about Drake. I agree with you about his flow, I don't like it but it's there. My b.

I'm with Janzsoon, his flow is embarrassing. He does rhyme and makes ****ty attempts at witticisms all the time, but that hardly makes him a good rapper.

this is lazy of me but i'm quoting this posts basically to outsource the ****ting-on of this particular rapper. i'll say my piece but it can only really be a half-assed ****ting-on cause of my limited attention span.
i did check him on youtube and to be honest with you there isn't much to hate or even comment on, really. his main fault to me seems failing to really stick out in any meaningful way among the infinite sea of mediocre rap artists who get by thanks to the internet and self promotion. like to me this guy seems sort of like the nerdy version of cassidy. |

drake is a perfect example of a guy with plenty of talent, ambition, charisma, and all that good **** but still gets no attention from me since he uses all of this to whore himself relentlessly to the flocks of young female fans that drive the current rap/pop record industry. i really don't think he has a single creative bone in his body despite all that talent. his music is like a conglomeration of recent rap trends more than anything else.. i feel like drake might actually be an algorithm designed by google to create an endless stream of rap music for females with all the edges carefully sanded down for the consumer's protection.
