either way that's a dumb point since hip hop has the same trend towards macho posturing. obviously there are exceptions but it is a big part of the culture and always has been. it doesn't gel with a lot of people's modern values but it is what it is at the end of the day. i don't think it's such a bad thing personally, but whatever.

Maybe you guys listen false grime, like, Hip Hop with high tempo. True grime have UK Garage basslines like 4x4 Bassline, UK Bass, 2-Step, Dubstep...
If you remove the vocal from grime you have something like UK Garage and nothing similar to Hip Hop.
