So, you think this...

Is more melodic than this...

No, of course not. So, at it’s best, my argument is that Rap is a crude, very crude, version of poetry. After all, the words, even if some of them are made-up, rhyme. And as a side note, yes, poetry should rhyme. If it doesn’t rhyme, it’s just story-telling.

Just curious if the guy playing the bongos in the coffee house without the poet is playing music?

If yes, why is it no longer music when vocals are added?

lol, i have to hand it to this kid for getting 25 pages out of this forum on a single dumb question. if this thread hits 30 i think the only valid move at that point is to concede the point and admit that rap isn't music.

Yeah! Cryptopsy. That band is in my Ipod. I told my drum teacher that I listen to death metal, and he told me to listen to Cryptopsy, because their drums are remarkable and disgusting. So I did and Cryptopsy became my favorite band.

The first album I listened of this band is None So Vile (probably 40 minutes), after I listened, I cheered, because it is a work of art. Compared to the Crossroads video, when I listen to it the first minute and I am not liking anything there, I quickly discard during first listen.

Yeah, I think Cryptopsy (guitar solo, riffs wise) are more melodic than crossroads.

I think Hans Zimmer is more melodic than Crossroads.
