As a kid, it was hip-hop on the radio, and then a couple of years later I fell out of it. However I'd say Public Enemy, Shabazz Palaces, and The Roots got me into the hip-hop I listen to today.

Fur Q was probably the first hip-hop artist I got into. Despite the controversy I'd say "Uzi Lover" was one of the songs of my generation.
