Lol, I don't know how someone can think that 50 Cent & Lil Wayne could possibly hold a candle to Dr Dre and Nas.

I'd like to go waaaayyyyyyy back to the early 80's, The Treacherous Three with Spoonie G and featuring of course Kool Mo Dee

WHAT a great era. I feel like this aesthetic is trending all over again; re-surging if you like. Not just in music, but in pop culture in general (anybody walked the streets of certain parts of Brooklyn, London or Berlin recently? ha.)

Obviously Tribe, Lords and De La come to mind... or at least are my faves...

A track which especially spoke to me was De La's 'I Am I Be' from their 3rd album 'Buhloone Mindstate', realised in '93... the jazzy vibe and lyricism are a match made in heaven.. check it out.
