Yes, the annoying characters are totally necessary.
I thought I'd make this as an umbrella for Spaceghostpurrrp, Denzel Curry (who actually left but is still a close associate), Robb Bank$, perhaps Lil Ugly Mane since he associates with them, and etc. in case anyone's still interested anymore. Denzel's recent release, Nostalgic 64, is getting decent praise, I was wondering if anyone checked it or not? I've yet to hear it, but plan to, I'd like to actually buy it and support the guy, like I intend to do for Spaceghost and LUM especially sometimes soon. Here's the album cover: and the single "Threatz":

Nostalgic 64 is pretty cool a lot of good tracks. ignorant hype type sound but he brings some decent lyrics. plus his delivery is nice and he has a bone thug type flow a lot. check out the song parents its the second song on the album

Paradox, preciate the tip, theneedledrop review highlighted "Parents" as well, he actually had some rull nice things to say about the tape considering his usual taste. I'm excited for it! We just need a new SGP and LUM album, and preferably a collabo b/w these minds. LUM I really want to hear from though, I just realized the page he uses for artwork on "Uneven Compromise" is taken from a George Barsaille book, thus learning who George Barsaille is, which was thrilling.

As far as i know many of them don't have their own tapes yet, but that may change since SGP is still pretty big (though lacking a new release), LUM is blowing up kind of, and Curry has a fairly acclaimed album and a song with almost a million hits on youtube. Anyway, those three are totally worth it, and if you can find a good feature or youtube web for an artist from good songs you might find another fine member, I think I found some pretty nice songs shooting off from "Threatz" that I think were Raiders or associates.

Killlller ass song from the tape, everyone brings it, Mike G is probably my least favorite but, it's just that he isn't quite as on point as the other dudes, who bring the ruckuz.

I actually thought mike g's verse was quite profound. This is might be the best hip hop release of the year so far this dude said "i put the fun in funeral" man Last edited by Sparky; 11-13-2013 at 03:37 PM. |
