The problem with these statements is always the inverse. If being first (which is useless and has no actual value) means that everyone else is a guest, then there are a lot of guests to a lot of things. And when you take "First" which means nothing, and "Race" which means nothing, then you've got this idiot placing a ridiculous amount of value on what amounts to nothing. It's like asking if anyone has change for a sea shell.
But the assumption that white folks are guests in hip hop assumes that black people invented everything that has to do with hip hop - and they didn't. So thanks for being a guest to records, record players, electricity, the instruments that originally played the music that you use to sample music at the origin of hip hop, and the innumerate amount of things that goes along with it (i.e. the streets the block parties took place in where hip hop was debuted). A stupid argument from some dip**** who came up with an opinion on emotions and no research, and apparently wasn't hugged enough as a child so now he needs attention. People like this are voluntarily weak (mentally) and don't do anything to improve the situation. He ruins society, in my opinion.

he probably lumps black women under the black man umbrella. just like the term "man" includes women when talking about mankind as a whole. You don't say womankind.

Back in the day white people did steal jazz, rock, disco, ska and some more from blacks and they usually get no credit. But that was back when blacks were not racially fair. Nowadays it is evident that hiphop for the most part is culturally "Black" But that dosn't mean White people can not take part of the culture, ya know what i mean? and Butthead Lord Jamar is from Brand Nubian |

I imagine that this thread won't end well
But since Em is the only credible (in terms of $sales) white rapper out there & both his flow & lyrics are mediocre at best I would say that at the moment yes we are guests, but vip guests |
