don't know where you're getting that I think Drake can eclipse both men from, I just wanna see Drake fire back at Kendrick and hopefully burst his bubble a wee bit.
Everyone loves to hate on the Drizz, but he's the man.

I agree.

are we going to ignore all the social matter that Kendrick Lamar has also brought up?
Because that would definitely weaken an argument wouldn't it?

The reality is that for every 'moment' where BIG "brought light to the griminess of New York's poor black communities" there were many, many more where he reveled in monetary and material possessions and wealth.

As a whole over their two opposing albums, it is Kendrick who has actually highlighted social issues more.

drake can't really say too much though because if it actually comes down to fisticuffs i don't think there is a rapper who couldn't beat his ass

i'd even be willing to bet childish gambino could take him

that would require him having actual talent on the mic though, which he has very little.

Kendrick has also been caught revelling in his own greatness more than enough to irritate a socially conscious listener, as well as not even try to explore old topics with any kind of fresh viewpoint. It's either contrived or unoriginal, which doesn't really inspire any gratitude on my behalf.

We already established that.... but that still doesnt mean he is on "Biggie's level" of impact and status.

Moving the goalposts? I thought the debate was "who was better"?

What has Kendrick talked in his actual singles other than alcoholism?

I might be missing something but I don't know if "Bitch Don't Kill my Vibe" has a very good message.
Also I agree about Biggie having some songs that were highlighting social issues, but some of the **** he talks about is just ridiculous. He was just as nasty and obnoxious as any other rappers in some of his songs.

ALSOALSO, the opposite of bringing "light to the griminess of New York's poor black communities" is not the opposite of reveling in monetary and material possessions and wealth. I just have to put that out there. What he did talk about in some of his songs was how money was a problem, and then in other songs talked about wealth. That is what is hypocritical here.

I have to say the same thing about Tupac though. Some of his songs and some of his interviews just made people realize great issues in the black community, in education, and much more, and then other songs were just... nothing songs.

tl;dr NOT ALL RAPPERS CAN BE AS KEWL AS MACKLEMORE, U GUYS.

I never said that's all Biggie did, I just said he had that side to him, just like Kendrick is sometimes all "help the hood" and then all "i'm god". Most rappers are guilty of this, so for the most part it's a pretty useless point trying to say one rapper is more positive. In that case, everyone would probably love Lil B, but they don't.

Goofle, I don't follow.
