Same, wanted to listen to the track in it's entirety. Got about 2 mins in and gave up, I have no desire to listen to this track.

KENDRICK SPOKE ABOUT THE VERSE ON HOT 97!

http://www.hotnewhiphop.com/kendrick...news.7034.html

While on one side, I'm glad he was able to tell everyone to calm down and stop whining about some of the lines, on the other hand, I think he didn't acknowledge how awesome it was to call everyone out. He kind of took the excitement away because he made it sound like he didn't mean to make a splash at all.

“I liked the [King] Los verse,” Kendrick revealed. “Joe Budden did this thing, Joell; a lot of people with different approaches…Joey had the facts in his verse, a few things that he felt. Papoose had the comical joint. Los was flipping his words and putting that spunk on it. I think he had the killer thing though. Yeah, Los killed it out of everybody. But the number one joint at the top of the list had to be Chocolate Drop.”

Hahaha I have to find the Chocolate Drop one.

This is Kendrick's response to his thoughts on a few of the replies.

Kendrick Lamar Says King Los Had The Best "Control" Response

Also , I think he wants to take some of the excitement out of it because some lesser known rappers are taking this **** way too serious and being ignorant about it. Trying to start up some west coast/east coast beef. He also touches on that in the article I linked.

Well I think the audio is there, I heard the interview on my way to work. Not the whole thing, I think.

I like that he was saying he wants to keep the beef from happening, cause that's really great.

Everything about it was overhyped but watching the drama unfold is fun. My favourite response verse was Joe Budden's but I more like hearing discussion and comments from other rappers.

He didn't want it to turn into the whole old school violent type coast beef though. He was just rapping and talking **** and he even says that the real kings of New York are able to recognize that and not take it seriously.

Wait all of the rappers he called out are his friends, most of them were fine. It's the ones that weren't mentioned because they want to be considered more important that want to cause the drama.

He was just trying to call EVERYONE out and say HEY I'M COMING FOR YOU AND I WANNA BE BETTER THAN YOU. But it was obviously fun, he called out Big Sean ON his own record. Obviously he wasn't actually dissing him.

This is the response he said was the best.

I still liked Papoose and Lupe's responses better though

Too bad this guy is signed to Bad Boy, he might as well just drop his pants and receiving the fucking over he's about to get early.

hhahaha I might as well include the Chocolate Droppa one as well

Well Drake is acting like he's too good to respond to the verse and he feels like Kendrick only went halfway in on it.

Quote:
“That ['Control'] verse was a moment to talk about," Drake said, as reported by Miss Info and Vibe. "Are you listening to it now, though?”
Quote:
"He didn’t come in there on some wild, ‘I’m in New York, fuck everybody.’ I almost wish he had come in there on that shit because I kind of lost a little bit of respect for the sentiment of the verse,” Drake said. “If it’s really ‘fuck everybody’ then it needs to be ‘fuck everybody’. It can’t just be halfway.”
Quote:
"I didn't really have anything to say about it," Drake said. "It just sounded like an ambitious thought to me...I know good and well that Kendrick's not murdering me, at all, in any platform...When that day presents itself, I guess we can revisit the topic."

So don't expect a response from him Drake lovers.
Drake seems like he's too slow and didn't get it. The point of the verse went completely over his head.
