Something From Nothing, Ice T's documentary on hip hop, was largely filled with goofy interviews - but there are a lot of great sound bits from KRS-One, Afrika Bambaata, Melle Mel, and others about the old old school.

I think it's on netflix. Not an amazing documentary, but it's really neat.

Hip-Hop started with a cool Jamaican immigrant named DJ Kool Herk way back in 1972 with his toasting rap & mixing in tha South Bronx and that's tha double truth ruth!!
