What do you feel are the standout tracks?

Takyon, Thru The Walls, Known For It, Klink and Spread Eagle Across The Block

Do you feel like the production compliments the lyrics well? Also which of the two do you prefer related to this album?

The production was great for the lyrics. The production but the lyrics were dope and catchy

Would this album have benefited from having more features?

I think it was great how it was

Do you see yourself listening to this album again a few months from now?

Yeah i listen to this all the time and its been over a year since i found it!

Have you heard any of this artist's other mixtapes/albums and do you feel like this album stands up to the same quality as the others?

I have listened to everything and this one is my favorite allthough i do very much enjoy the others

I would love to see them do more tracks like Spread Eage. I enjoy their minimalistic, cold sound as well, but that song has something to it.

Was very late on the Death Grips bandwagon and listened to this after The Money Store. Originally didn't like it but kept listening and now of course I love the s**t out of it. Beware, Guillotine, Sp-sp-spre-SPREAD EAGLE CROSS THE BLOCK, Culture Shock and Blood Creepin' are my favourites.

The only music that sounds truly modern. Like this type of stuff couldn't have been made in any other era.

I had a similar experience especially since it was my first time listening to it. I went on to listen to The Money Store right afterwards and I ended up clinging to TMS more so than this album.

I hate to pretty much echo the consensus but Takyon and Spread Eagle are really great tracks. After awhile I ended up tuning out the lyrics and just didn't pay attention to them as I listened to the rest of it and focused more on the production side of things.

Most likely this album will get more plays from me in the future especially when I'm in the mood for some eclectic production.

Heard of this group and album through The Needle Drops (Anthony Fantano) review of their The Money Store album. I have scanned through both albums quickly, but need to give them a proper listen.

I just started listening to Death Gripes due to this thread, The Needle Drop, and seeing TMS on vinyl at Hastings. I do love Takyon and MC Ride's brutal, straight-forward style, but sometimes his lyrics can be ridiculous. Yet at other times, his lyrics can really make your brain explode with thought. I bought their whole catalog digitally. I feel they are on to something great, but I also feel MC Rider has yet to tap into what he can really do.

I love Fantano, and also The Money Store. But not at first.

Wasn't Fantano a part of MB at one point in time? or there was some connection to a member of MB and Fantano?
