I was having a discussion and responded to someone elses reply to MY posts first off. So what you basically are implying is people should not respond to other peoples post? People shouldnt be constructive with their opinion? You dont get to dictate what someone should or should not post on a message board.... just because you disagree with the opinion. This is a MESSAGE BOARD where people are suppose to discuss, debate, express their opinion etc. I was debating with another poster and I dont owe you an explanation for my opinion. I listened to some of the tracks myself off this NEW album and its the same generic songs that he always does. So I simply said it and if you have a problem with that opinion then you need to deal with it. |

Holy Grail was OK but mostly because of JT's vocal (and even that was cheesy as hell by the way, Jesus Christ), but even then it just sums Jay-Z up. The Neptunes track was OK too. No doubt this will be added to the mythical most consistent in Hip Hop ever list by the Jigga cocksuckers however. I honestly listened to this album completely objectively, I was expecting something decent.
However I don't understand how this album is in any way fulfilling for Hip-Hop fans. Only whiteboys and middle class cunts would think this album is good, it's the sort of music parents feel safe buying so they can stuff it in their brat's stocking for Christmas. In short, it's fucking shit. |

^Well, at least you're honest and straightforward. Maybe I'm in denial, but I'm still not settled on my opinion of this. Some songs are solid while others are just sorta...there.
In terms of consistency, Ghostface is definitely more consistent than Jay. |

Also, if you would have said that you listened to the album in the first place and they are the same generic songs that he always does. That would have went over much smoother than just saying "Oh goody another album with catchy beats with 3rd grader rhymes..... typical Jay Z formula. Dont have a clue why people flock to listen to his mediocrity." This wording just comes off as a statement that I hater that hasn't even listened to the album would say just because the hate the artist. I don't have a problem with your opinion just the way you expressed it came off like you didn't have much reason to say any of that. What did you think of BBC? Your precious darling Nas is on it. For me, I like 10 out of 16 tracks. Not even Crown and Heaven Fluffy?

I liked the first track and the Neptunes track (BBC?). Nothing else stood out for me but I've only listened through twice. Oh and Somewhereinamerica, production was nice. Not sure why people seem to fuss over the production on Tom Ford, it's just an average, electro/trap beat to me? Track with Beyonce was cringe too. lol |

I'm still waiting on it making much of an impression also, but you'd be a fool to deny Picasso Baby and Tom Ford are big tunes.
Jay's not making hip-hop for the hardcore fans, it's easily digestible and transferable over several markets. Not his best work, but not atrocious by any means. |

Anyways, I don't know if you've seen this but he spent 6 hours re-playing Picasso Baby to get footage possibly for a video but it was so interesting how he was showcasing different art forms.
