Thumbs up Old School!

I'm a big fan of Old School rap/hip-hop music and I was wondering what are your favorite songs? I like "De La Soul's Me, Myself, and I", "Beastie Boys' Fight For Your Right", "Run DMC's Tricky", "The Sugarhill Gang's Rapper's Delight", "Run DMC's Peter Piper", and lots more. What great music!

I like A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Run DMC, and other "classics" but I'm not reqally a huge fan of old school.

I'm a huge fan of old school rap. I love the old Dre, Snoop, LL Cool J, Rakim, KRS-one, Jay Z, Pac, Notorious B.I.G, Easy-E, Heavy D, and Public Enemy. Terrific stuff! Oh, and De La Soul's "Me Myself and I" is so good! And, Run DMC!!!!

Here's a thought; let's stop labeling music and fighting over what genre a certain band is, and start listening to whatever pleases our ears no matter what anyone thinks of it! ;)

The stuff on the radio is bad, for the most part. The real geniuses are the underground rappers that don't get any play.
