This just came out today...
Close Your Eyes (And Count To Fuck) ft. Zach de la Rocha I can't decide if I like Zach's Miles Davis line or his Phillip K. Dick line better Last edited by Electrophonic Tonic; 10-14-2014 at 01:03 PM. |

I've have such mixed feelings about this new el-p stuff
El-P featuring zack de la rocha is a turning point regardless of which The hyper repetitive beats are immediatly gratifying but leave nothing to discover, which is one of the best parts of el-p production. No transitions, no switch ups, no progression, just "run the jewels" vocal sample over droaning synth Which would be okay, but this formula has been the case for quite a few RTJ cuts now Hopefully they released it early because it wasn't good enough to make the cut on the final release El-P's rapping has grown to this nicer adult, characterness to it though. His aggressiveness more controlled, in the way of the samurai |
