I'm not gonna egg Brennan on anymore. I think we actually agree in alot of ways. First and foremost it should be a place about discussing music. I think we have a slight different take on what that entails. I don't find it detrimental to discuss a band in a negative light if you feel necessary, but its clear you think that is counterproductive to discussion so duly noted.

Yep, you ignored them to validate your own schizoid little stance.

If you like Mackelmore check out the Blue Scholars. They were actually bigger than Macklemore for years in Seattle before this Thrift shop blew up. They have a similar Seattle Hip Hop sound and Sabzi from Blue Scholars actually produced some of Macklemore's hits like The Town Remix.

The "This is ****ing awesome" line ruins the song for me. Seriously, that sounded so cheesy and childish ugh. But then again, this song does appeal to cheesy children...

IMO an average song in every aspect except lyrics, which are below average.

Blue Scholars is unbelievable. Dear thread: check out Cinemetropolis (the album). To kick that off, here's Cinemetropolis (the song).

I'm going to be seeing Macklemore opening for the Roots on 6/1. I'll return with the full report.
