there's a fair bit of sarcasm intermingled in there to be fair, even if he thinks jigga is ****

I'll take a stab. He tries to be street and it comes across like Dr. Dre, a middle class fake. He uses too much stupid lingo-ism in his raps. His writing style bores me to tears. I find his samples to be meandering in and out with little direction to my ears. Hes at times un-intelligible because of his notable lisp. Hes not my thing Sparky. Hes as I said revered for stuff I just can't hear with my own ears. He has never done anything for me, not his old and certainly not his new stuff.

And thats not to say he doesn't have his finger on the pulse of America because that much is evident. I'll stick with A to the Assed out.

I'd rather listen to MOP or Freddie Foxx any day of the week.

hey fair enough. From now on i can listen to him and take your perspective, something i am not able to do with one word critiques. I am able to understand where your coming from.

What frustrates me is that you will not be able to understand why someone else could like it, but my b i know u jetted this thread already

I like Jay Z a reasonable amount, I just think Janz was spot on in the debate and I can't understand how his pretty simplistic stance evolved into an 8 page argument.

You haven't really done a good job substantiating yourself.

A better thought to extract from the argument was that Janszoon argued you could call Hemingway a terrible writer if you didn't personally like his writings. So you're agreeing with him on this position?

Goofle 12-05-2012 01:25 PM

Yes, of course. If you think something is terrible then erm... it's terrible. Pretty fucking simple.

You ever read The Old Man And The Sea? Good God its worse then a Jay Z song. Now F Scott Fitzgerald I can get behind that. :)

If you can't differentiate personal taste from mastery of medium ... well then you're just plain wrong. And uninformed, at that.
