This thread was seriously disappointing me right up until that comment. I think I could be very happy here.

Yeah I'd go with either Sportscenter or A Milli.

How can you lose talent?

Also, nobody wants to check, because nobody cares about Lil Wayne. It doesn't matter if he's released some 'okay' material, I definitely am not going to rush to check it.

How duh can you get? Don't you remember Charles Manson? Or Al Capone? How about all those people who have to leave their jobs because they get older?

I mentioned ignorance, didn't I?

Nice, haven't listened to that one before. I can't stand every single of his I've heard, but I liked Da Drought 3 and No Ceilings. On RYM at least it seems like the general consensus is that his mixtapes are a lot better than his albums.

Spark, I never actuAlly heard that song and intend to give it a good listen when I'm at better speakers, but I heard tons about it . I think it came out just before C3 and was one of the major stepping stones for the hype that album had around it. But just reading it I could see it was one of Wayne's hottest verse, and that's against even drought 3/dedication 2 material.

Tl;dr - the codeine daysare sorely miissed.

If I had to pick one song he sounded good on, it'd have to be, "Lean Back", by Fat Joe.

Well, Surell that's a dumb reply.

He's not as talented coz he got old? No. Or in case you're insinuating he lost talent due to being incarcerated?
Either way, it'd have been more credible not to respond.

Wayne's had enough chances. I have no intention in checking out his older material.
If you enjoy it, power to you.
Nothing about him entices me to check; again.

I can tell this debate's gonna stay in a decent realm of maturity.

Have we not seen careers degrade over time? Artists becoming less interesting after a certain peak? Time has been a factor in an artist's falling off countless times. As time goes on, you oftentimes find less to talk about, or get to confident, or whatever other factor time takes its toll on.

No, I'm talking about deteriorating mental health. Charles Manson used to be a musician, used to have connections, and may have been a pretty smart dude; have you seen the videos of him now? His brain's a puree of horror thanks to drugs, he can't even manage to squeeze out a half-coherent sentence. Al Capone was once a sharp man as well, but thanks to syphilis he somehow contracted, he spent his last days waddling around his house probably not knowing where or who he was.

Speaking of shoddy credibility. How has he had enough chances when you've given him zero? The math went wrong somewhere in there.
