Riff Raff came across very well in this interview. The Hot 97 guy was really trying to stick it to him.
It's odd though how everyone can get behind Lil B yet Riff Raff is so vilified. They're the same act, just one's black.

except riff lied about dropping out of high school, and has legally changed his name. Riff Raff has never done anything besides be extremely vague about his up bringing, but since i am on un-fulfilling(can we just say sad?) crusade to expose riff i have found pictures and stories from people who knew him that don't at all a line with what he would have you believe.

I do see the double standard your referring too, not so much in comparison to lil b, but plenty of other character rappers who aren't at all genuine about their past. And it is totally unfair and unnecessary for me to target riff raff, exclusively.

Rofl, that's funny that you are investing so much time into exposing him for a phony.

Keep up the good work I guess.

it's an excessive way of pointing out the obvious.

But Riff Raff wasn't Riff Raff in the past. Yeah, it's a character - but before he was a goofball rapper he was a goofball semi-regular dude named Horst that couldn't really define himself. I think it's interesting trying to know about how he brought himself to this point in his life, but I don't blame him for trying to separate his current image from his younger years.

pretty much this

working tirelessly to "expose" someone's art by tying them down to whoever they used to be is whack and pretentious

> research somebody's past with intentions to "expose" what they do for fun today

> say someone's music shouldn't be called art

> call the person making said music pretentious

i'm not sure we'd ever make very good friends. you're too grumpy.
