Well now that I think about it, sample wouldn't be the right word. It's more of a lyric-jacking. When he says "F them other niggas cause I'm down for my niggas", he's taking that from a C-Murder track. Combining that with "Strange Fruit" is an interesting combination imo. He did sample TNGHT for this song though with the booming saxophones.

Are you sure he didn't sample that C-Murder song for the sax? It sounds the same. Either way, the horn part is why I enjoy that song. Guess Kayne can take no credit for me liking that one.

The lyrics you mention being combined with strange fruit feel like him desperately trying to court controversy to me, similar to the lyrics of "I'm in It". That's my biggest gripe about this album, the lyrics are so distractingly dumb and juvenile that I wish they were in another language so I could ignore them more easily.

They are in another language. It's called Swaghili but I guess you are fluent in it since you can understand it so well.

You know what, you might be right. I thought it sounded similar too but some sample credits somewhere said it was a TNGHT sample and it DOES sound like them as well.

Check this article out though guys I wanna hear your thoughts on it. Kanye West Is NOT A Jackass

I agreed with a majority of that album but there were some minor points here and there were I just say outloud. "Nope, You're Wrong!" For example,

The album might be off-putting to the average listener, but that’s because it’s using music formulas that no one’s ever heard before. It’s a glimpse into the future of music.
"using music formulas that no one has ever heard before? Ummm I guess in the context that Death Grips isn't mainstream enough to be on the radio but those formulas aren't new that he was using and they were also a watered version of what's really out there.

Yeah, Kendrick used that 'down with my niggas...' C-Murder line in Section 8.0 as well. It's pretty commonly used.

Not just the likes of Death Grips but apparently the author hasn't heard any UK electronic music from the past ten years.

C-Murder is one of the most influential and important rappers ever, what else needs to be said?
