I mean there isn't a story behind the album. Unless I missed it after 7+ listens.

It's a cautionary tale about how writing an album by committee can yield unbearably dull results.

I find myself listening to Late Registration and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy most. I really like MBDTF because of how tight everything feels, like it's been planned meticulously until Kanye thought it was as good as it could be.

Really? About half of the album I really enjoyed and the other half was meh. But I don't think it qualifies as dull.
