I don't think his baseline personality will allow him to feel remorse in I'm playing armchair psychologist.

I don't really mean to imply he'll feel guilt or remorse for his actions, but rather he'll be struck at some point as the full realization of the consequences of what he did sinks in - all the money he lost for himself (and his children) and the likely irreparable damage he's done to his own reputation and brand.
