Damn OSHA makes those few and far between these days. Used to provide plenty of extracurricular activites for kids after school hours. Thanks a lot Nixon.

You think businesses actually follow OSHA standards.

Imo obviously not completely but they’ve made a big difference

If you get hurt and they weren’t they risk getting sued

Not saying you can always win or can expect fair treatment in court but still it’s out there

And you can report violations

They put you in situations where you either cut corners by breaking those standards or get in trouble for not being able to do all the work they wanted you to do. In that way they won't be held responsible if you break OSHA standards because technically they educated you and told you not to do it.

Regardless, they are still pretty much sweatshops.

Their work around for putting me in a forklift despite having literally zero forklift experience (also with narrow spaces because we had a lot of kegs that month which requires a license) was that I was in "training".

I get it but you can file a complaint

Don't want to be fired.

Especially if there was a culture of covering each other.

When I was in the Ebay building the security covered my bosses ass. I told them how they brought bleach in (which is illegal) when I was arguing with them and when I was fired the security guard went around spreading rumors about me.
