Default Need some help...

I know I'm posting this in the wrong section, but whatever. I've been trying to identify an underground Hiphop album I have for like 7 years. It's on a burned CD, and I got it from someone who got it from someone who got it from someone, etc..

I've done many, many searches of the lyrics, to no avail. Tried figuring out who the artists sound like, but all my guesses don't turn up anything I can place in any of the songs on the album. So, here's a track for you to download to see if you can either recognize the song and/or MC.

http://www.mediafire.com/file/v11b99qqhxzy1yb/08 Track 8.wma

I can upload other songs with other guest MCs if need be.
Any leads would be appreciated.
I really have just been wondering about this CD for so long that it's more of a back-burner obsession for me more than anything.

I just want to find out what it is.

Not sure what it is, but I like it quite a bit. Tried Shazam?

My random guess is Noah23, although I think his voice might be a bit higher than the one you posted. The guy's got like 50 albums though (not even that much of an exaggeration actually).

Sounds vaguely like Sole to me but I could be wrong. I dig the Being John Malkovich reference though.

Hrm. Thanks for the ideas, guys.
It's definitely none of those artists. I keep leaning toward early Eyedea, mostly for the style and voice, but Eyedea is higher pitched and more expressive. Not to mention that his debut album was miles ahead of the production quality of the album in question.
There are different artists in different songs, though. One of the songs is laid back and the guy rhyming in it sounds more like atmosphere. Obviously I've followed up on ideas I've had, but I never find anything on the net that points to the songs on this cd.

I'm hoping what I have isn't some obscure mix-tape that I'll never find out about. It can't be that old, though. I mean, the style says early 00's to me, and everyone I've come across as a reference has had a debut at that point, which are not a match in either songs or production quality.

OMG Freebase you're breaking the rules! I'm so not going to move it though, just to make a point.

Ok sorry I'll gtfo and stop posting high now.

I'm interested in hearing more, especially if I can help figure out who this is.
