You are absolutley incorrect. Its widely known that the DOC wrote a good deal of The Cronic and Doggystyle. Snoop has admitted as much on national televsion.

Anyways, the use of ghostwriters is a lot more prevelent in hip-hop than people want to admit. Don't be suprised if your favorite rapper is getting a little help with his lyrics.

I honestly never knew that. I only follow the music, not the media coverage, so I wouldn't know. I would kind of expect that from Snoop though, but are you sure Dre's stuff is ghost written? And also, yes, I still put ODB over Talib. His style and voice are fantastic-grimy and brilliant.

Positive. It goes all the way back to his NWA days when he had Cube, Ren, and The DOC writing most of his stuff. Today he has Eminem. In fact, if you go back listen to the Cronic 2001 you can hear Em's influence in Dre's flows.

If you really want your mind blown... Dre doesn't actually create most of the beats he gets credit for producing either. He keeps a team of the hottest beat makers at his disposal. That’s the difference in "producing" & "executive producing." He is the ultimate businessman.

Regarding ODB... I just can't take that guy seriously as an artist. If anything, he was a sideshow ala' Flavor Flav. No way he can touch Talib lyrically.

I think when he branched into a solo career it sort of ruined him-he seemed much better in a group, which can be shown in his solo albums. (He had lots of guest talent on his albums). When he was in the Wu I could always look forward to hearing an ODB verse, which seperated him from Talib in my view. True, he was a sideshow, and Talib does probably have the advantage on him lyrically, but his voice and style of rapping really made him stand out amongst the other more 'generic' rappers in the wu.

Why is Ludacris on it? You have gotta be crazy. There is no way that ODB could ever touch Talib....ever. There is no comparison. I agree with Dr. Dre being on the list, and maybe Snoop, but where are the other great rappers?
Easy definitly should be on there. Immortal Tech, Ghostface Killah. I thought that your list would be a little bit more credible.

I like Nas's voice and style, but I haven't heard much of his stuff.

Is it that hard of a concept that I happen to also like Twista's voice? He's a fast rapper and I like it. I shouldn't need to explain my OWN opinion.

This isnt the favorite rapper thread. It is the best , and that is what he is.
