Any good websites listing samples used in tracks?
Was listening to some of Pauls Boutique by The Beastie Boys today and kept wondering the origin of the samples used on it. I definitely heard James Brown and thought I heard something like Van Halen.
Instead of googling each individual track I wondered if there was any accurate websites with song lists which names the samples used? I appreciate that one website won't contain everything, but if you know of any good websites that can help that would be brilliant. |

That'd be nice, and I thought I seen something like that but when I looked in my bookmarks all I found was Covers Project.

Brilliant 2 songs I had recently both found out about are both on here and it seems very accurate.
Jay-Z - Girls, Girls Girls (Remix) Jay-Z's Girls, Girls, Girls (Part 2) sample of The Persuaders's Trying Girls Out | WhoSampled Common - The Light Common's The Light sample of Bobby Caldwell's Open Your Eyes | WhoSampled I absolutely love both of these tracks & the original samples. This is going to be a great resource for finding new music. Thanks! |

John Legend's Slow Dance sample of The Icemen's My Girl (She's a Fox) | WhoSampled
Absolutely love this track by John Legend, now seeing that so many of my favourite parts of his tracks were not composed by him has left me feeling slightly awkward, while in one way I am excited to discover the source that he has sampled. I think that today a bit of my love for John Legend and "his" catchy hooks may now have disappeared. |
